Double Page Spread

DPS:

Here is an example of the double page spread which I have produced:

I have used the idea of a spotlight for the photo to focus the readers eye to the picture of Louise. I also have used the colour scheme of pink and white. I used pink to keep the double page spread girly and bright. I used white because it is the opposite of black so it stands out from the back ground. I used smaller photos which are dotted around to keep the focus of the page on the singer Louise. In pop magazines there is always lots of photos because young girls always look up to older female pop artists.

Masthead Photoshop

Photoshop:

I have used photoshop to edit my masthead. I used it to delete the background colour so when I add it to a picture for my front cover it will only have the colour of pink without a white box around it.

This is the photo which I started with:

Then I started to delete the colour of white with the eraser in photoshop.

Then I continued to remove the white, but this time i had to zoom in until the picture was very pixelated.

Here is the outcome of my masthead:

Character Analysis

Here is an extra character which I have created.

Sophie 14: Sophie has become a singer by starting form the bottom and working to the top. She auditioned on the X-Factor, and won! She then got a contact with the biggest music company in the UK. Thats how she became famous.

New Idea For front Cover

Idea for front cover:

I have thought of a new idea for my front cover.
I have done this because I have been experimenting with pictures of the two brothers, Brandon and Mitchell. I have done this, however the pictures which I have been experimenting with, haven't turned out as well as I would have hopped. However I took some more pictures of Sophie which I will give her a character analysis.

So I took some pictures of Sophie and I will use those as pictures for my front cover, I will photoshop those pictures first so they will eventually look like a professional photo.

5th Double Page Spread

5th double page idea:

Here is my next idea of what my double page spread will look like. I have been able to fit more text on to the page now and I have put some text in white so you can see the text which is overlapping the picture.

Fourth Double Page Spread

4th double page spread:
 Here is my new idea for my double page spread. I have typed up the interview but it doesn't fit a lot in. I will try to fit more text in as I edit it.
I will also need to edit a couple of pictures because I need to choose some to be inserted on this double page spread.

Third Front Cover Idea

Here is my third idea for my front cover I have started to make edits to the picture in photoshop but I haven't finished the full edit yet. I haven't finished the edit yet as I would like to take photographs as I edit the picture, I will need to edit the original photo to match the exposure of the background picture of stairs.

 I will also have to edit the Masthead as it is only a picture with a white background at the minuet. 

The text will be located in the white boxes and in the grey boxes pictures will be placed.
